U/15 League Final 2014:

In a very entertaining match league topper SKW u/15 conceded a unnecessary goal to give away the season to runners-up Ramblers. The League was decided eventually in a play off of the first eight teams. The final score SKW u/15 2 Ramblers u/15 3. SKW showed great sportsmanship in letting the winners running through a tunnel while applauding when the game was ended. Spectators, players referees had to enter the NFA venue through a hole in the fence - because the officially announced venue was simply locked!!! SKW's Ben Namib was named player of the series.

SKW eyes third-straight U/17 title against Prokids from NFA Media-Desk

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Centre will play host to the final of the Khomas under-17 League final between Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) against Prokids with Namib Colts and Ramblers contesting the third-place finish.

After the league rounds involving 15 under-17 clubs, eight teams advanced and contested the quarterfinals where Prokids won 3-2 against Khomasdal Football Academy (KFA) and Windhoek United lost to Namibia Colts 2-0. Tura Magic also lost out to Ramblers 2-0 while SKW defeated Jonas Chrissel Vries (JCV) 3-2 to book a semifinal berth.

In the semifinals, played last weekend at the NFA Technical Centre, Namib Colts lost to SKW 3-2 while Prokids defeated Ramblers 2-0.  For SKW, the goal-scorers were George Hummel and a brace from Johannes Anguho, while for Namib Colts Sakaria Gariseb and Fillimon Nghifikepunye got the goals.  Juani Beukes scored both goals for Prokids against Ramblers and the youngster is leading the scoring chart with 17 goals.

Saturday, 16 August, will be the day of action not to be missed at Ramblers and Namibia Colts feature in the third-place playoff match at 08h00 with the main match, the final set for 10h00, all at the NFA Technical Centre. SKW are looking to take the trophy permanently as they won it in 2012 and 2013 and have a chance to make it three in a row.

Cole Mungendje, who is the coordinator of the Khomas Under-17 league, says the teenagers conduct has improved over the years, attributing it to the development and graduation of players through the Khomas Youth leagues which starts at under-9 to under-19 league.
On 26 July, Invincible defeated Tura Magic 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw  to take the under-19 league title and the Under-9s and under 13s  are expected to conclude their respective league schedule by October 2014

Prokids beat SKW 2-0 in U/17 league

Prokids FC beat Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) 2-0 to be crowned champions of the 2014 Khomas Under-17 League at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Technical Centre on Saturday morning.
Prokids replicated their semifinals score over Ramblers on Saturday morning in the final as their main man Yuani Beukes scored his 18th goal of the season to give Prokids 1-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, SKW, who had a chance to win the league three times in a row and keep the floating trophy, threw everything they had to get back into it, but it was James Gaseb who increased Prokids' lead to 2-0 and they held on to take the trophy away from the Olympia-based SKW. Final score Prokids 2-0 SKW.
Home of Good Hope FC were awarded the Most Disciplined Team award by the League Coordinator Cole Mungendje who was pleased with the successful ending of the league.
"It has been a long road and we are finally here. Today we have crowd the champions and congratulations to Prokids they were once again very clinical and tactically sound and to SKW hard luck and good luck next time. This is a development tournament and one would really love to see these players move on to the under-19 league and maybe get chance to play second and first division football and even in the premier league, why not?".

On 26 July, Invincible defeated Tura Magic 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw to take the under-19 league title and the Under-9s and fewer than 13s are expected to conclude their respective league schedule by October 2014.

SKW u/17 team. The SKW coach: "We just had too many injuries and on the day the others were better, congratulations to Pro Kids! To my opinion it is still a pity that at the end the league is decided in a single match, which erases all the hard work done week in week out. I feel sorry for my boy's"

SKW are 2014 Khomas Under 13 Champions

SKW overcame their drought of trophies this season when they defeated arch rival Ramblers, in the final of the 2014 Khomas Under 13 League, by 5 - 2 at the NFA Football Technical Centre on Sunday.
SKW U13 who dominated most of the match started the game on fire when they capitalized on a defensive error, by Ramblers U13 to score the first goal in the first 10 minutes of the game. The assault continued when they scored their second goal under 20 minutes of the game. With Ramblers U13 still under shock, a cracker free kick from just the centre by SKW U13 almost sealed the game. This spurred the Ramblers
U13 players to wake up when they realized that it was going to be a mountain to climb if they did not do anything.

Ramblers U13 put up pressure in the last 5 minutes and scored a goal, that revived their hope going into the second half.  But that was not enough as SKW U13 scored two more goals in the second half to lift the 2014 Khomas U13 trophy, while Ramblers U13 settled for the Silver medals.

Mr Lazarus Xoagub and Mr Rejoice Uirab, Under 13 chairperson and Coordinator respectively said they were grateful to work with the teams and thanked all the teams for their sportmanship. They urged the teams to continue in the same spirit to build youth football in the country.

In the third playoff match Swallows U13 and KFA U13 played to a 1 all draw, before Swallows won on 3 -4 penalties.

Swallows Petrus Owoseb was crowned top goal scorer with 24 goals.

The prize giving ceremony was officiated by Miss Renathe Kinda and Joacobus Stein from Swallows Football Academy.
